“L.A. loves London” was how LeAnn Nealz, Juicy Couture’s chief creative officer and co-president, described her fall collection during a preview of the lineup, which will be shown tonight at an Upper East Side town house the company is calling “Chateau Juicy.” Nealz has had England on her mind, as the company plans a store opening on Regent Street in London this summer. In terms of adopting the look for Juicy’s West Coast ethos, she imagined “the girl who was abroad for summer and picked up some styling tips.” Elements of classic British streetwear, including head-to-toe cabbage rose prints, plaid mixed with studs, biker jackets and cheetah patterns were interspersed with the label’s contemporary staples — i.e. the tracksuit, new versions of which came in silk as well as cashmere and lace.
