Swiss designer Julian Zigerli showed a sporty menswear mix of quirky prints and performance fabrics that drew a standing room-only crowd. The collection, named Happy Tears, was inspired by Olympic athletes’ tears of joy and victory. Giving new meaning to “body conscious,” separates were worked in an impressionistic vein pattern in safety orange and blood-red on white. A cuddly jacket in brown teddy bear fur had, upon closer look, a heart and circulatory system etched into its plush. Zigerli’s hybrid backpack-jackets showed up this time as a rain cape done in slicker yellow for a practical and fun look.
