Berlin Fashion Week got started with Julian Zigerli’s men’s wear show, a digital display inspired by the aesthetics of Photoshop. The Swiss designer specializes in playwear for the modern boy-man, matching separates in bold patterns and candy colors. For spring, the guy in question was an overworked office nerd hallucinating in front of his computer, dreaming of a holiday in the sun.

Thus test patterns in cyan, magenta and yellow were hand cut and digitally printed, and squiggly images constructed from spray and molded foam were worked into a sort of screen saver, camouflage print on sweatpants and shorts. A sheer plastic cabana set of shorts, shirt and coat offered rain and shine possibilities, while refined checkerboard knit loungewear had adult appeal. Printed blazers were an addition to Zigerli’s relaxed sports-inspired separates in technical fabrics.
