NEW YORK — Kellwood Co. and G.A.V. said Wednesday they have established their executive team who will develop and produce the Calvin Klein women’s better sportswear collection.

The line will be introduced next month for spring retailing.

Heading up the Kellwood team is John Windham, who has been named executive vice president of operations, reporting to Stephen L. Ruzow, president of Kellwood Womenswear. Having joined Kellwood in 1999, Windham was most recently senior vice president of strategic sourcing. A 26-year apparel industry veteran, he started his career at Oxford Industries and held posts at Leslie Fay and Winer Manufacturing.

Diane Dunham has been named vice president of merchandising. Earlier, Dunham had a 23-year career with Jones Apparel Group, working with brands such as Rena Rowan, Jones Dress and Jones Collection. Andrew Iacovou has been named vice president of quality assurance. Most recently, he was with Contempo Fashions Ltd., responsible for worldwide sourcing needs, as well as the sales and merchandising functions of several of its brands. Barbara Singleton, previously with Tommy Hilfiger USA as vice president of production, has become vice president of distribution.

Robin Howe will serve as design director for the Calvin Klein better sportswear collection as part of the G.A.V. team, which will be responsible for its design, sales, marketing and preproduction direction. As reported, she will be responsible for all design in collaboration with Calvin Klein Inc., owned by Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. Earlier she was head designer for Jones New York for 12 years.

Katherine Glynn has been appointed vice president of sales. She held similar posts at Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan and Chaus. Toria Garrett, most recently vice president of marketing at Lancôme, has been named vice president of marketing. Bien Otero has been named vice president of retail development. Most recently, she served in the same capacity at Giorgio Armani, prior to which she worked at Nike. George Spiechowski has been named vice president of production. He served in a similar role at Liz Claiborne Inc., prior to which he was with Anne Klein and Macy’s. Grace Suh, most recently director of fabric research and development at Liz Claiborne, has been named vice president of textiles.Howe, Spiechowski and Suh report to Andrew Grossman, chief executive officer of G.A.V., and Glynn, Garrett and Otero report to Alexander Vreeland, chief operating officer of G.A.V.

All the Calvin Klein women’s better sportswear executives will be based at G.A.V.’s new headquarters at 360 Park Avenue South, which will be completed next month.
