Leyla Piedayesh experimented with a variety of bold prints this season, but her shapes stayed true to form with Lala Berlin’s perennial favorites: slouchy knitwear and silk jumpsuits, most topped off this time with wide-rimmed fedoras. An angular graphic print in acidic colors was emblazoned with stripes, seen on a silk jumpsuit, silk pants and a short miniskirt. Light pink was a key color here, used for a cotton dress with asymmetric zip detail and a long, wool coat cut mannish enough to avoid girly territory.
The firm’s Keffiyeh print remained a staple, but Piedayesh also showed a black-and-white Inca print on several looks. The highlight though was a star print, worked on jeans, a chiffon blouse and a sweeping long-sleeve chiffon dress that sparkled like the night sky.

In honor of Rihanna’s 30th birthday, we took a look back at an interview with the Barbados-native when she was just 18 years old. Here, she talked about her second album, “A Girl Like Me” in 2006. “I want to be me. I want people to fall in love with who Rihanna is, and that’s why I want the album to be about me so people can really find out who this girl Rihanna is, because they only know the ‘Pon de Replay’ girl.” Fast forward 12 years, and she’s released six more albums and has become a powerhouse in both the fashion and music industries. Happy birthday, @badgalriri 🎈(📷: Pavel Antonov) #wwdarchive
