The tribute is being coordinated by Lambert’s family and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which Lambert co-founded in 1962. Attendance at the memorial requires confirmation to the CFDA’s offices at 212-302-1821, ext. 104, or by fax at 212-768-0515.
Also confirmed to speak at the event are William Berkson, who is Lambert’s son, and Moses Berkson, her grandson. Elsa Klensch, Nadja Swarovski and John Loring also will speak. Lambert’s family also has asked that any donations in Lambert’s memory be made to Citymeals-On-Wheels, a charity she supported with annual industry benefits. Lambert died on Oct. 7 at the age of 100.
