NEW YORK — Adrienne Landau Designs is teaming up with Worldwide Dreams LLC for a licensed collection of printed silk and devoré velvet scarves. The collection, called Adrienne Landau Studio, will be launched during the May market for fall distribution to better department stores.

Landau’s main collection of elaborate shawls, capes, fur accessories, coats and intimate apparel is distributed to upscale specialty stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The new licensed collection will be made available to better department stores that don’t carry her signature line.

Wholesale price points will be from about $10 to $65. Worldwide Dreams also manufactures licensed silk scarves and wraps for Oscar de la Renta. Judy Hanrahan, a sales executive at Worldwide Dreams, declined to give projections for the line.

Landau is celebrating her 25th year in business this year and to mark the occasion is stepping on the growth accelerator. Last month, she inked a licensing deal with Felpinter Sofil for a home textiles collection. That collection will be launched during the home textiles market in April.
