“The hair is very simple,” said Asashi, who was working with Kiehl’s backstage at Eley Kishimoto. “It’s a bit innocent but not childish. It’s young and fresh.” Asashi, who teamed ponytails with rounded fringes, used Kiehl’s Super Thick Volumizer when blow-drying and then smoothed ponytail lengths with straightening irons. The look was finished off with Silk Groom Serum.
Makeup, by Shu Uemura’s Kakuyasu Uchiide, focused on punchy peepers. Eyelids were slicked with gloss and accentuated with Shu Uemura false eyelashes in shades of blue, green or purple. “Skin is fresh, simple and healthy,” said Uchiide, who used Shu Uemura Face Architect foundation to create a semi-matte finish. He used a smidge of bronzer to highlight cheekbones and beige concealer on lips.
