NEW YORK -- Lee A. Chaden has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Intimates, a division of Sara Lee Corp.
Chaden will oversee the Playtex, Bali, Canadelle, Hanes Her Way and Just My Size intimate apparel businesses in North America and selected export markets. Prior to his appointment, he was president of the U.S. and Westfar divisions of Playtex. Westfar comprises the Asian and Latin American markets of Playtex.
Donald J. Franceschini had been ceo of Sara Lee Intimates before he was given responsibility for the entire personal products businesses of Sara Lee Corp. at the start of last month. Last week, he was elected executive vice president and a director of the corporation.
Chaden reports to Lew Frankfort, who was recently named chief executive of Intimates (NA) and Accessories, which includes such brands as Aris, Isotoner, Coach and Mark Cross.
Paul K. Mischinski, 39, was promoted to president of Sara Lee Foundations, which includes the Bali, Canadelle, Hanes Her Way and Just My Size businesses. He reports to Chaden and succeeds Joseph E. Heid, vice president of Sara Lee Corp., who recently assumed the role of president and ceo of apparel operations in the Pacific Rim. Mischinski was president of Bali brands.

EXCLUSIVE: Two and half months after John Targon, cofounder and codesigner of Baja East, was hired as creative director of the contemporary division at Marc Jacobs, he has left the company, WWD has learned. Marc Jacobs International, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, confirmed Targon’s departure in a statement: “John Targon is a talented designer and we appreciate the work he has done here.
