Sam McKnight, working with Pantene, pumped up the volume backstage at Ossie Clark. “It’s an ode to Grace Coddington,” said McKnight, who came up with a play on the ponytail for the show. “The texture is the opposite of straight. It’s frizzy and fluffy.”

He used Pantene Pro-V Secret Support Mousse when blowdrying and dry shampoo to create texture. Hair was slicked back into ponytails, the lengths of which were backcombed before being tonged and backcombed once more. The look was finished with Pantene Pro-V Secret Support Hairspray.

Makeup was all about the pout. Miranda Joyce, working with MAC Cosmetics, kept makeup to a minimum elsewhere on the face to allow mouths to really pop.

“I wanted the mouth to be really strong,” said Joyce. “The eyes are slightly defined, but ideally, there’s nothing else on the face.” Models sported one of four hues on lips — Java; Cyber; a mix of Costa Chic and orange Pigment, and a blend of red Lipmix, Java and red Pigment.
