PARIS — Karl Lagerfeld is breaking fashion ground again, this time with a collection for the Swedish retail giant H&M. “I like the idea of my name being used on a broad scale,” he says. The Karl Lagerfeld for H&M line will be launched tonight at the Pompidou Centre here and will include women’s wear, men’s wear, accessories and even a fragrance. It’s bound to be one of the hits of the holiday season when it lands in the firm’s stores on Nov. 12 — especially since the company is spending millions on marketing. Here, in an exclusive preview for WWD, Lagerfeld poses with three models wearing the collection. For more on the line, see Fashion.
