Ivanka Trump is used to sitting front row at events, and her first runway show for her own collection, held Wednesday night at Lord & Taylor’s Fifth Avenue flagship, was no exception. Sitting between her dad, Donald, her husband, Jared Kushner, her mother, Ivana, and Lord & Taylor president Bonnie Brooks, Trump graciously stood up and thanked the crowd of family, friends and editors for attending. Lord & Taylor is behind Trump in a big way, dedicating its Fifth Avenue windows to her spring collection and hosting the show to launch ready-to-wear.

Trump had all the key trends of the season covered: equestrian, geometric and feminine. “Creating high quality at an affordable price” is the goal, said Trump, noting that her clothes are for modern working women, on duty and off. Thus, there were office-appropriate suits with feminine details, trenchcoats with lace trims, scarf print dresses, colorful denim, jodhpurs and beachy frocks.
