The statement was in response to industry speculation reported in WWD Wednesday, page 7.
LVMH chairman and chief executive officer Bernard Arnault recently indicated that his luxury goods conglomerate will continue to shed non-core assets.
But LVMH denies Guerlain is a candidate for divestment. The brand “is not for sale. Nor has it been shown to anyone regarding a possible sale,” the statement continued. “Guerlain is a valued brand in LVMH’s Perfumes and Cosmetics group.”
