L’Wren Scott was mixing a little business with her meals at Barneys New York on Wednesday. “I had a blogger breakfast and now I’m having a lady’s lunch!” L’wren Scott explained with a laugh at the store’s eighth floor penthouse shortly before sitting down to dine. Though more phonetically pleasing, the midday meal wasn’t strictly a lady’s affair. Barneys chief executive officer Mark Lee and creative ambassador at larger Simon Doonan were on hand, as were a smattering of fashion editors and few social friends including Shirin von Wulffen and Lisa Airan. Scott was in town for the launch of her Lula handbags, which went on sale exclusively at Barneys Wednesday. The bag in all three of its sizes was on display for guests to peruse before they sat. “I think you always want your friends to see it first and their feedback means a lot to me,” she said.
