NEW YORK — MAC Cosmetics is joining the bridge-and-tunnel crowd. In December, the trendy beauty firm is slated to open a 1,100-square-foot store in Brooklyn Heights in a location that is now occupied by the Summa Gallery, marking MAC’s first foray into the outer boroughs, WWD has learned.
A company spokeswoman said few details were available yet for the store, which will be located on Montague Street, the main shopping strip in the neighborhood, which is right over the Brooklyn Bridge. MAC has been pushing into a wider range of locales around the city: It recently opened a shop in Harlem, across from the famed Apollo Theater.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
