NEW YORK — Steven Madden Ltd. has signed a licensing deal with Paul Lavitt Mills Inc. for a line of Steve Madden socks and hosiery.

The Hickory, N.C.- and New York-based legwear firm, which also holds the Etienne Aigner and Nicole Miller sock licenses, will manufacture and distribute the socks and legwear in the U.S. under the Steve Madden label. Select pieces are expected to bow as early as next month.
The collection will comprise basic sock styles, as well as fashion and novelty socks, knee socks, legwarmers and boot socks.
The collection will be sold in Steve Madden boutiques, as well as in select department stores.
Under the Steve Madden and Stevies brands, the company also sells licensed outerwear, leather sportswear, eyewear, handbags and belts.
