A tide of fresh color washed over Madewell’s spring collection, titled Madewell in Wonderland. Kin Ying Lee, Madewell’s head of design, said she wanted things to be “really bright, happy and optimistic.” Ombré cotton and linen T-shirts, melange knits in technical yarns and bright laces radiated a cheerful upbeat attitude that felt more modern than Madewell’s standard vintage vibe.
