Commercial? You bet. With a new franchise store opening somewhere in the world every 14 days, Marc Cain had better be. For the German brand’s first full-fledged runway show in the MBFWB tent, designer Karin Veit dished up lots of vivid color, shine, summery seaside or Japanese pagoda prints, cheetah spots and winks to Rue Cambon. Silhouettes ranged from body skimming to flared for the brand’s most dynamic markets: Russia and China. The black finale  gown, the bodice cut like a simple tank in the front and bathing suit in the back, was one of any number of pieces that should do swimmingly in other lands.
