Thomas A. Andruskevich, president and chief executive officer at Henry Birks & Sons Inc., has been named president and ceo at Mayor’s, as expected. Andruskevich has been acting in that role since Birks acquired a majority stake in Mayor’s in August.
Joseph A. Keifer 3rd, who had been vice president of merchandising at Henry Birks & Sons, will now hold the title of senior vice president and chief operating officer at Mayor’s. Marc Weinstein, formerly senior vice president and chief operating officer at Mayor’s, will now serve as the firm’s senior vice president and chief administrative officer.
Keifer’s position at Birks will be absorbed by Dalan Bronson, who was recently appointed chief operating officer at the Montreal-based company. In addition, Mayor’s said Emily Berlin, an executive vice president at Helm Holdings International, was elected to Mayor’s board.
As reported, Mayor’s, based in Sunrise, Fla., in recent years has suffered from financial problems. But recently, Mayor’s received a cash infusion from Birks, which has aggressive turnaround plans for the 28-store jewelry chain.
