Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough, right, and Lazaro Hernandez are experts at giving the cool girls — like oft-documented fans Chloë Sevigny and Mary-Kate Olsen — something to crave. That includes their new accessories, which have taken off in the past year.
The two partnered with footwear firm Vicini to create towering booties with metal, rubber and wood soles, and polished yet industrial-looking sandals with metal heels. Their PS1 bag, a leather satchel with straps, was a runway and retail smash, not to mention the subject of endless blogging. The rest of the lineup includes jewel-toned leather gloves, fierce blackened metal clip earrings and nostalgic round sunglasses.
The collection, says Hernandez, is “always rooted in the concept of contradiction and contrast — femininity versus industry and machines, Prouvé versus modest Americana interiors.”
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
