Looks can be deceiving.

Sandwiched between an industrial park and newly-constructed luxury condominiums, One Midtown Kitchen is a former warehouse, identified by a wall of mystically glowing purple.

Within the 6,000-square-foot space, icicle-like fixtures hang from the 22-foot ceiling, illuminating the chocolate concrete floors and exposed brick.

Floor to ceiling warehouse windows create the backdrop for this hip yet understated environment. Outdoor dining offers a grassy view of the Piedmont Park conservatory and downtown skyline.

Executive chef Kevin Reilly, late of Zoë in New York’s SoHo district offers a menu that relies heavily on the restaurant’s wood-fired oven. Small plates ($5-$11) include wood-roasted mussels, blue crab fritters and barbequed lamb ribs.

Entrees ($14-$18) include chargrilled rare yellowtail served with a roasted grapefruit, asian pear and fennel salad, grilled lemon and herb marinated chicken, and chargrilled skirt steak served with parmesan-herb fries.
