MADRID — Miguel Adrover has signed a deal with the upscale Spanish manufacturer Lottusse to design and distribute a collection for the U.S. of shoes, handbags, belts and selected leather garments. Called “Lottusse for Miguel Adrover,” the line-for-all-seasons will preview during New York Fashion Week in September.

“We’re offering Miguel a production partner with experience and quality,” said a Lottusse spokesman. “For us, he brings new creative thinking and an edgier design philosophy to a well-established formula.”

Headquartered in the shoe-making vortex of Inca on Mallorca, Lottusse produces 400,000 pairs annually.Upwards of 35 percent is shipped to export markets, principally Germany, Scandinavia, Italy and Portugal.

The venture, which will target boutiques and department stores, is Lottusse’s introduction to the U.S., the spokesman added. In about a year, the line will be marketed through multibrand stores in Europe where the company has a significant presence, he said.

The spokesman used words like “fusion” and “new urban” to describe the footwear range — 40 styles each for women’s and men’s classifications.
