NEW YORK — Although it’s been six years since his last formal presentation, Isaac Mizrahi still knows just what to do with a runway. His show on Monday night at Cipriani 42nd Street was the ultimate high-low fashion experiment. He paired his custom collection for Bergdorf Goodman with his no-frills Target line, and let the audience guess which was which. While some of Mizrahi’s custom pieces clearly stood out, such as a painted linen coat and a sable-lined raincoat, the Fair Isle sweater and blue jean suede jacket from Target were also stunning. Here, a wool skirt and a cotton tank from Target, worn with a red fox-trimmed mohair coat from Bergdorf Goodman. For more on Isaac Mizrahi, see the "Two Faces of Isaac."
