Moufarrige said he accomplished his objective of assembling a new group and would now pursue other projects in the luxury field. He recently took a minority stake in Worth Group, which markets fragrances and “couture” lingerie under the Charles Frederick Worth name.
France Luxury Group’s stable includes Jean-Louis Scherrer, Jacques Fath, Emmanuelle Khanh and the shoe firms Harel and Stephane Kélian. During his tenure as chief executive, Moufarrige placed new designers and management teams at Fath and Scherrer.
Meanwhile, Dumenil, an investment banker who also owns the men’s brand Francesco Smalto, is said to be eyeing Courrèges as his next acquisition, as reported.
