Last week’s marathon of fashion collections featured plenty of minis, furs and trends from the past, especially Mod Sixties and Courrèges influences. Despite the eclecticism, WWD pushed the usually loquacious store buyers to pick their one absolute must-have trend or item for fall:

Kal Ruttenstein, senior vice president of fashion direction, Bloomingdale’s: "It’s very difficult to pick favorites from the established stars, but for a new designer, basically showing his third collection, the flair silhouette from Zac Posen was great. He did cute, flirty, well-crafted dresses and created a style all his own. It’s nice to see someone so young doing this."
