Set to launch next year, Lepore said she has already begun to design the bottle.
“This is so much fun,” she said, “and I’ll be able to sell them in my stores.”
And on the subject of stores, Lepore also signed a lease for her third retail outpost — this time in Los Angeles. The designer currently has units in New York and Tokyo, and she said Los Angeles was a natural next step.
The 1,500-square-foot store will be located at 114 South Robertson Boulevard, a spot she’s had her eye on for more than a year.
“I went to L.A. knowing that was where I wanted the store,” she said. “I really didn’t even look anywhere else. That was it.”
She expects to open within the next few months.
“It’s really going to help with the Hollywood connections,” she added, “and it will strengthen our overall business.”
Lepore said she is close to signing a footwear license and is on the lookout for a handbag licensee.
