NEW YORK — Christopher H. Heyn has been named president of Nautica International Inc., the firm’s men’s sportswear unit.
He succeeds Don Witkowski, who last month joined Michael Kors LLC as president of its collection men’s wear division.
Since May 2001, Heyn has been president of Nautica Apparel Inc., the global brand licensing subsidiary. Before that, he was senior vice president of the Global Merchandising Group at the National Basketball Association. Earlier, he was president of men’s wear marketing at Kellwood Corp., where he was responsible for the global management of the company’s private label business as well as the Nautica licensed dress shirt and neckwear business. He has previously served as president and chief executive of Salant Menswear Group and president of C.F. Hathaway, a division of Warnaco Corp.
Heyn reports to Harvey Sanders, chairman, president and ceo of Nautica Enterprises.
His successor at Nautica Apparel hasn’t been named.
