NEW YORK — There was some shuffling in the executive ranks of Neiman Marcus Group Inc. on Monday.

Brendan Hoffman was promoted to president and chief executive of Neiman Marcus Direct, carrying responsibility for the Neiman Marcus, Horchow and Chef’s catalogs and the firm’s online operations. Hoffman, who was vice president and director of Last Call Clearance Stores, reports to Burton Tansky, president and ceo.

Additionally, Karen Katz, who had been in charge of the direct business and took the reins as president and ceo of NM’s stores division this month, has a realigned management team under her direction. The team includes:

Neva Hall, elevated to the new post of executive vice president of the division with responsibility for the 35 full- line Neiman Marcus Stores and the Last Call clearance centers. Hall was senior vice president and general merchandise manager for women’s shoes, cosmetics, handbags and fashion accessories.

Ann Stordahl, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for women’s ready-to-wear, who adds responsibility for handbags, shoes, fashion accessories and intimate apparel.

James Gold, promoted to senior vice president and general merchandise manager over men’s, cosmetics and fragrances. He was divisional merchandise manager for designer sportswear.

Ron Goddard, named senior vice president of merchandise planning for the stores unit. He was vice president ofstrategic planning.
