NEW YORK — Niccolò — a new showroom at 499 Seventh Avenue started byItalian rep Niccolò Carpani Glisenti — swung open its doors Wednesday night to reveal a space that looks more glam than garmento.
The showroom — which features custom clothing racks designed by the 39-year-old Glisenti, Flos lighting, minimalist Italian leather seating and exotic rugs — officially opened in July and originally represented three lines from Milanese designer Paolo Frani. Soon after, however, the agreement between the two fizzled and Glisenti found himself searching for new talent to represent.
