With babies being the newest, hottest accessory of late, Jennifer Noonan’s NOM maternity line has perfect timing. Short for Naissance on Melrose, the store and label serve up hip looks that even non-pregnant women could covet. For spring, handkerchief skirts, silk bandeaux, skirt-over-pants combos and dresses with that ever-flattering Empire waist were modeled by pregnant women all in their seventh or eighth month. A very pregnant Beverly Peele took a runway turn with daughter MacKenzie, while actresses Cheryl Hines and Denise Richards looked on. “It’s all going so fast,” said Richards of her own five-months-along status. (Dad is Charlie Sheen, of course.) She giggled as Noonan’s cheeky T-shirts printed with “Breeder” and “Got Milk?” came out to the strains of Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” and Tears for Fears’ classic, “Sowing the Seeds of Love.” Noonan also introduced a new fragrance, Miss Mama.
