NEW YORK — Emma (Moses) Siegel, a former buyer, was killed Sunday in an automobile accident in Ocean Township, N.J. She was 88.

According to her daughter, Peggy Gardner, Siegel and some friends were on their way to dinner when the collision occurred and she died as a result of her injuries.

For 23 years, Siegel had been one of the head dress buyers for Lerner Shops, based in its main offices here. She retired from the business about 19 years ago.

In addition to her daughter, also surviving is her husband, Harry; a son, John and two grandchildren.
