She might be new to television, but pop’s reigning multihyphenate knows how to get red carpet camera bulbs flashing. On her new UPN series “Eve” — in which she plays a fashion designer — she’ll spread her edgy urban style gospel to millions more fans and solidify her standing among small screen style-setters. “She could be a future style icon,” gushes Giambattista Valli of Emanuel Ungaro. “Eve can be a totally sophisticated woman with her own twist.”

“She is definitely one to watch,” agrees costume designer Patricia Field. “Eve is a risk-taker,” adds Anna Sui. “She can go from a wild rock star to a glamorous starlet in the blink of an eye. The Emmys tend to be pretty conservative, so she should hit the red carpet in a show stopper, like a beaded or sequined dress.”

Donatella Versace believes “Eve has really evolved into a designer’s dream. She has become very sophisticated but still very hip-hop. She takes risks but never forgets who she is. I love her strength and personal style.”

Indeed, it’s her “fearless” approach that engages Roberto Cavalli. “I’d love to see her in a shorter dress to play up her love for fashion and her risk-taking nature.”
