During their women’s Opening Ceremony show for resort, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim also presented their men’s lineup for spring. As with their women, the men’s looks traveled to the tropics, featuring filtered and distorted floral prints in a variety of looks, including bomber jackets, shorts and summer coats. There were also athletic references such as mesh panels and reflective neon colorblocking details that exuded function and style.
With the European men’s shows starting next week, Leon said he decided to show the collection now because the September timing of New York Fashion Week is too late for the men’s market. “We want to be in the moment and timely,” he said.
