PARIS — Nina Ricci’s fashion house will soon have a new leader.
Paul Deneve is slated to join as president, effective May 2. Marc Puig, head of the fashion division for the Barcelona-based beauty and fashion conglomerate Puig, told WWD about Deneve’s appointment Friday.
Deneve previously was president of Courrèges from 1998 until the end of last year. Before that, he worked at the computer firm Apple. Deneve will succeed Andrea Pinto, who resigned from Nina Ricci last May to rejoin his family company Krizia as general manager, as reported.
Puig, who ran Nina Ricci’s fashion business in the interim, said the appointment of Deneve underlines the group’s commitment to Nina Ricci’s fashion business. “It has a tremendous potential that has not yet fully materialized,” he said.
Nina Ricci’s design team is slated to present its fall 2003 collection off-calendar during Paris Fashion Week, he noted.
