NEW YORK -- Services for Peggy Newcomer Pollack, 38, associate publisher of Mademoiselle, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Ave. at East 81st Street here.

Pollack died Tuesday of colon cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, said Nancy Newcomer Vick, a sister.

Pollack's publishing career began at Elle, as part of the team that launched the magazine's new format in the U.S. She then joined the New Yorker and later helped start Mirabella, where was ad director. She joined Mademoiselle last year.

In addition to her sister, Pollack is survived by her parents, Clarence and Jane Newcomer; another sister, Judy Birkett, and her companion, Paul Wigsten.
