MILAN — Andrea Pinto is back home.
He was named Krizia’s new general manager on Tuesday, confirming reports in WWD.
Pinto will be responsible for strengthening the network of Krizia’s stores around the world and developing new opportunities in emerging markets such as China, the Far East and Russia.
Pinto, who resigned last month as general manager at Nina Ricci Group in Paris, is no newcomer to Krizia, where he worked under his father, Aldo Pinto, the company’s chairman, for almost 12 years.
Krizia was founded in 1954 by Mariuccia Mandelli, Aldo Pinto’s wife and administrator of the company. According to a statement from the company, Krizia’s total volume is about $402 million.
