For spring-summer 2010, Pitti exhibitors show a softer side of men’s fashion and a more youthful and casual approach to traditional categories. The reinvention of spring outerwear is a key trend with washed-cotton cropped bombers, formfitting blazer hybrids and ultralight trenchcoats. Tailored clothing focuses on the updated ultrathin unconstructed suit — at times as light as a poplin shirt. Oversize summer scarves become the focal neckwear treatment and the main accessory for the season.
