NEW YORK -- Adrienne Vittadini has inked a licensing agreement with Portolano Products Inc., an accessories firm here, to produce a glove and knit accessories collection.
It will feature leather gloves, as well as knit gloves, hats and scarves in cashmere or blends of angora and lambswool. Wholesale prices range from approximately $28 to $60. Production will be primarily done in the Philippines.
Stephanie Wilkser, managing director of Portolano, projected first year wholesale volume at $250,000.
The line will be launched for the March accessories market and will be shown at Portolano's showroom. Distribution will be targeted to better department and specialty stores nationwide.
According to Shasha Boyd, vice president for merchandising and licensing at Adrienne Vittadini, this is the firm's first glove and knit accessories licensed line.
