Grossman has been named the brand’s exclusive skin care consultant, and will work with the research and development team to develop innovations in skin care. She will also be a spokesperson for the brand. Her duties are effective Nov. 18.
“Prescriptives is all about custom beauty, and that’s what Karyn is about, as well,” said Pamela Baxter, president of the specialty group worldwide for the Estée Lauder Cos., who hired Grossman to consult for the brand after grilling a succession of prospective dermatologists. “It’s important to her to have personal relationships with patients and to solve their confusion and concerns with skin care.”
Grossman, a board-certified dermatologist, completed an accelerated six-year premedical and medical program at Boston University, did her internship in internal medicine at the University of Michigan and did her residency and fellowship through Harvard University. She currently has a practice with offices in Los Angeles and New York City.
“I’m very excited to be working with Prescriptives,” said Grossman. As a busy dermatologist with a primarily female clientele, I hear my patients’ concerns all day. Working with Prescriptives is a wonderful opportunity to bring the same type of individualized care to the general population.”
