For many exhibitors at last week’s European Preview, it was all in the details. Understated elegance, in fact, was on view at the fair, where mills showed rich plains — many accented with metallic fibers or clean, spare designs. Ulster Weavers, an Irish mill known for its linen, featured fall selections that combined the fiber with other natural finds such as silk or mohair. Knits also played a part with structured yet soft cloths in wool and wool-like blends.
