Saks will deck windows at key stores, and will hold a contest offering a shopping spree and trip to San Francisco where the “Girls Club” series is set. The partnership is the first for a David E. Kelley series and the first for Saks on behalf of a TV property.
The relationship was brokered by William Morris Consulting, which is working to enliven the image of Saks and foster cross promotions with the entertainment world. The campaign kicks off on Oct. 18, three days before the series premieres. The contest launches in Saks stores and online on Oct. 17.
Meanwhile, the National Italian-American Foundation will present Christina Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Saks Fifth Avenue, with a “special achievement award in business” on Oct. 26 at its 27th anniversary awards gala.
Johnson will join other fashion executives, including one of last year’s honorees, Domenico De Sole, president and ceo of Gucci Group, at one of Washington’s premier annual events.
Robert De Niro and Sophia Loren will also be inducted into the NIAF’s Italian- American Hall of Fame for their work in the entertainment industry.
