NEW YORK -- Saks Fifth Avenue has named Jake Einhorn divisional merchandise manager for accessories and handbags.
He fills a post vacated by Gail Pisano, who was promoted last September to senior vice president and general merchandise manager for accessories, jewelry, shoes and intimate apparel. Einhorn will start on Jan. 3 and report to Pisano.
Einhorn left Neiman Marcus last April, saying he wanted to return to New York. He had been senior vice president and general merchandise manager for accessories, cosmetics and women's shoes.
During his 22-year tenure with Neiman Marcus, Einhorn spent about seven years here, most notably as White Plains store manager. He joined Neiman's NorthPark Center store in 1966 as a part-time sales associate while in high school. In 1972, he joined Neiman's full time as assistant manager of women's shoes, advancing to his final post in 1990. Neiman's promoted Sharen Jester Turney to his post last April.
