Claudia von Schacky’s fur and leather line presented subtle tones and novel textures for fall, coaxing the materials into the full range of apparel possibilities. Rabbit was laser cut into diamond shapes, and printed with an antique oriental rug pattern, and mink formed into a parka. Leather shorts, ladylike dresses and cropped trousers were paired with fur jackets and coats in copper, granite and slate. The Munich-based label, formerly Schacky and Jones, has recently been rebranded simply Schacky, and is planning international expansion. In Berlin however, an anti-fur protest happened just up the road from her salon presentation in Hotel de Rome.
