CINEMA VERITE: A film crew with cameras rolling. It's the hippest accessory to have at the shows -- and if you can't get the crew, at least get a famous director. Isaac Mizrahi, for one, is making sure he's covered on all angles of the film thing. He was making his way around the CFDA party Wednesday night with camera-toting Douglas Keeve, who's been working on a documentary about the designer for several months. Hollywood hasn't ignored Mizrahi either -- he's received requests for seats at his show from Oliver Stone and two associates of Robert Altman.
CITY BUSINESS: Nicole Miller had her share of the kitsch crowd Wednesday night, but she also flexed some political muscle. Mayor Giuliani's wife, Donna Hanover Giuliani, sporting one of Miller's printed silk baseball jackets, was sitting in the front row, along with Deputy Mayor Peter Powers, the number two guy at City Hall.
TOMMY AND THE TENTS: "I'll definitely do the tents," said red hot men's designer Tommy Hilfiger, who's hitting the shows this week. Hilfiger said he's attending a few shows to support designer friends and "to check out the whole tent scene. After all, now that I'm going into the women's business, I'll be doing one of these."
Hilfiger plans to launch his women's line with his first runway show for the spring '95 season.
