Beauty at Michael Kors was ladylike with a capital L.
Stylist Orlando Pita confessed to being inspired by Tippi Hedren and “other Hitchcock women” in creating the fanciful updos the models were sporting. Pita backcombed the hair to get volume, then fashioned a French twist with, well, a twist. Some looks were just the traditional twist; others finished in off-center buns or tiny ponytails. No matter what the look, Pita kept it in place with copious amounts of Kérastase hair spray.
On the makeup side, Dick Page, working for Shiseido, characterized the overall look as “Hitchcock, with a bit of Amy Winehouse to rile things up.” Page opted for matte skin and a pale gold cream eye shadow, emphasizing brows with pencil. Cheeks got a hint of Shiseido’s Champagne Flush Accentuating Color Stick, while lips were finished with a soft bronze rose Automatic Lip Crayon.
