NEW YORK — Nicolas Ghesquière came to town to show his fall collection for Balenciaga, bringing with him a très Parisian joie de vivre and energy. These were beautifully detailed clothes — structured coats, second-skin tops, narrow pants and patchwork corsets. There were striking shearling boleros, too, like the mini jacket here, shown with a pleated and twisted skirt. For more on the collection and the company, see pages 10 and 11. For more on the season, see pages 14 to 17.
