When it comes to accessories, big and bright are the buzzwords for this year’s Golden Globes. Whether it’s a show-stopping necklace, a vintage pin, a hefty diamond ring, a sparkly handbag or even an 18-karat gold compact, expect the red carpet outside the Beverly Hilton to be filled with pretty pieces that pack a punch.

“Many of the collections featured Fifties-inspired brights,” said Jimmy Choo president Tamara Mellon. “With this look, accessories should be carefully chosen: vintage diamonds, maybe even gloves? And to finish it off, a modern, bright satin shoe with a vintage-inspired brooch.”
Jewelry designer Erica Courtney, who’s pushing 14-karat diamond rings this season, believes that bigger is better. “Jewelry can be wearable even when it’s big,” she said. “So why not treat yourself on the big night?”
Since not every actress can walk away with the best accessory of all — that weighty golden statuette — it’s recommended she come fully prepared to dazzle the paparazzi and outshine her peers with the best money can buy.
