The conference, to be held at Manhattan’s Marriott Marquis Hotel, will address how the apparel trade will change after the abolition of quotas among World Trade Organization nations in 2005 and the U.S. government’s efforts to better secure the nation’s supply chain from terrorists. Among the scheduled speakers are Peter McGrath, president of J.C. Penney Purchasing Co.; Robert Boynton, State Department senior textile coordinator, and Gary Ross, vice president of worldwide manufacturing operations at Liz Claiborne Inc.
