AHOY THERE, RIRI: Skipper Russell Coutts and a few crew members from Team Alinghi, the winner of this year’s America’s Cup and Louis Vuitton Cup, stopped by Riri’s factory in Mendrisio, Italy, last week to show their prizes. Riri was one of Team Alinghi’s sponsors.

Three hundred Riri employees greeted them with cheers and clamored for photographs and autographs on Swiss flags, Team Alinghi caps and T-shirts.
After watching a video capturing the team’s upset victory against Team New Zealand, Alinghi’s mastman, Francisco Rapetti, and Coutts briefly addressed the crowd.
Riri’s president, Livio Cossutti, gave them a gift of two bottles of Barolo, an Italian wine, and gave them the factory’s grand tour. They also checked out the Alinghi store that Riri opened in Mendrisio to sell Alinghi merchandise and garments.
