COLD-WEATHER DEALS: Candie’s Inc. has signed a new licensing agreement with Soho Fashion Ltd. for women’s and junior outerwear under the Bongo label. Soho also has the license to produce Baby Phat and Steve Madden outerwear.
According to Elliot Shalom, owner and chief executive officer of Soho, the Bongo collection will include snowboarding and down-filled jackets, blazers, leathers, suedes and jean jackets, wholesaling from $17 to $50. The first line, which will be shown from Soho’s showroom at 1407 Broadway in New York, will be introduced for fall 2005.

Bongo, which is owned by Candie’s, currently has 12 licensees, including swimwear, tops and sweaters, jeans, footwear, handbags, eyewear and cold weather accessories.
In other news, Sharagano has signed a license with Silhouette LLC for the manufacture and marketing of outerwear bearing the Sharagano label. The debut collection hits stores in late September and includes leathers, furs and shearlings. It wholesales from $150 to $550.
